Anastasia Beverly Hills and Buxom Cosmetics is what’s on the blog tonight readers! It’s a late one for me tonight so I may wrap this up in the morning. Most of you know my sister’s wedding is this upcoming Saturday (silent scream) and I was in need of the perfect color lipstick. Nothing too dark, nothing too bright, nothing too much. One trip to Sephora later, I have found the perfect shade.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick (Dusty Rose)
I’m a regular buyer of Anastasia Beverly Hills Lipsticks for good reason. Before I get into the color itself, I want to stress the fact how much I love this line for liquid lipsticks. One of my favorites, if not favorite. It was actually the first line I tried when I started wearing lipstick and I could not of picked a better brand to start with. It’s long-lasting, goes on easily/smoothly and it’s non drying, although I’ve read a lot of reviews out there saying this was a drying and flakey lipstick but so far I’ve experienced none of that. It’s also extremely affordable at twenty dollars per lipstick. Can’t go wrong!
Now, as for the color. Dusty Rose is what I chose this time. Undoubtedly my favorite color so far. I have found this color to be very similar to my natural lip color so it makes for the perfect everyday lip color with a slight pop that’s just enough to stand out. I was also told upon checking out from Sephora that Dusty Rose is one of the most popular colors from the Anastasia line and is actually pretty hard to find in stock. All in all, totally in love with this color!
Buxom Full On Lip Polish
This is also a new product that I’ve never tried but I’ve always been a Buxom fan so I went for it. My thoughts? Well, this is tough. I like and then I don’t like. The woman at Sephora directed me to apply my regular liquid lipstick and then apply a layer of this lip polish. At first, it seemed a little much. It appeared to be almost too glossy for my liking. But because I’m me I couldn’t make up my mind and obviously bought it to experiment more with it at home. To be honest, the reason I ended up buying it is because of the plumping factor. So BEYOND satisfied with how this gloss adds that extra plump to your lip but I’m just not sure about the gloss for everyday use. I’m a believer in less is more, especially when it comes to makeup. So tell me, based on my pictures below..polish or no polish?
Have any of you other makeup enthusiasts out there tried this lip polish before? What did you think!?
