Naked Basics

Good morning loves! Today I am talking eye shadow. Nude eye shadow…which obviously if you follow my blog you know I’ve been really into nude colors lately. On the blog today is Urban Decay’s first generation of their Naked Basics Eye Shadow Palette. Hate to spoil the fun already but I will for sure be purchasing the second generation. I wanted to start small and see what I thought of Naked Basics but so far so good!

I’ve experimented all week with all shades in this palette and I am beyond pleased!! Yes, the palette is small but to be totally honest you don’t need to layer shades heavily to achieve depth because the coverage of all shades is THERE with that first little swish of your brush and they are THERE TO STAY ALL DAY. Every shade is long lasting.

It goes on easily and smoothly. I find with some other palettes that I have (cough, cough, Too Faced Natural Eyes palette) LOVE that palette and all the shades, but I find it flakes and powders off your eyes throughout the day and especially during application…which is super annoying.  For the price you just can’t go wrong. I purchased it for $29 at Sephora and don’t regret one penny. Casual looking makeup is always my go to.

Let’s Break Down The Shades

  • Venus
  • Foxy
  • W.O.S
  • Naked 2
  • Faint
  • Crave

So far my favorite shades have been Foxy & W.O.S (walk of shame) Has anyone else used this palette before? Would love to hear your thoughts!!

Happy Thanksgiving !

New Buys

Hi friends! So today I am talking some new buys lately that I am absolutely obsessed with. Over the last week I’ve had an itch to shop (not for much) and it NEEDED to be scratched. So long story short, I took care of my itch and treated myself to some new things…most on sale btw which is even better!!

First up, because I’m going to start small is this awesome & fun tank I scored at Express for only $14 marked down from $ I mean, how could I pass this tank top up? I couldn’t. Mimosas all day. It speaks to me. It defines me. IT’S ME.

Shoes, shoes, shoes. My biggest weakness. A girl can seriously never have too many pairs of shoes. I walked past this pair of shoes and didn’t even consider not buying them. At $49 a pair they were just too cute to pass up. Beyond versatile…you can pair them with anything. Jeans, leggings, shorts and they pretty much work for all seasons given the fact that they are closed toe.

And last but not least this SWEATER. I love, love, love oversized sweaters. Best part? I got this sweater for forty percent off the original price because as said in my previous blog post, sweaters this past week were buy one get one forty percent off at express. Original price $69 and I got it for just under $50. TOTAL WIN. Sadly that promo is no longer taking place at Express but it’s currently marked down to $49 so get going! It can also be worn as a scarf instead of a vest also! I received so many compliments the very first day I wore it.

Go get your shop on ladies!

Too Faced Natural Eyes Eye Shadow Collection

Hi friends! I’ve been slacking on my posts lately due to a wine spilling incident on the beloved laptop that took place recently that I’d rather just not talk about so moving on!! Okay. So I recently purchased this Too Faced eye shadow collection in Natural Eyes that I couldn’t wait to share with you guys because of course I experimented with it last night and I. LOVE. IT. So here it is!!

Too Faced Natural Eyes Eye Shadow Collection

Price $35, which I find reasonable for a palette like itself based on brand, quality etc..The small package box it comes in is super and cute and the actual casing is of the same’s super cute! If you regularly follow my blog then you know I’m lover of neutral/natural colors for eye shadow colors and this palette could not be anymore on point for just that!

The palette contains nine eye shadow colors.

  • Heaven
  • Silk Teddy
  • Nudie
  • Cashmere Bunny
  • Push-Up
  • Honey Pot
  • Sexspresso
  • Erotica
  • Chocolate Martini

To finish off I’m going to share a few of my favorite picks from this was a tough call because I really do love them all, they are alike but different in so many ways. Some colors work better for a night on the town and some work better for a casual day. But my top pick would have to be Push-Up..I love the subtle shimmer it has to it. A few other of my favorites include, Silk Teddy, Honey Pot and Heaven.
