Bath Bombing Into Monday!

Hi guys! Happy Monday! Or happy Monday night at this point.. It’s my week off from work so yes, fair to say it was a happy Monday. Oceanside wine, my tan is AMAZZ, a bath bomb…Yupp, not to shabby for B. But in all honesty I woke up this morning and had no idea what the heck to do with myself (boyfriend left for work at 4:45am mind you) and I woke up a lovely four hours later.  Any who, Never DO I EVER have a Monday to myself so my boredom led me to Whole Foods. Purchased the most random things. Including a bath bomb which I’m reviewing for you guys tonight!

Whole Foods Fizzing Bath Bomb (rose petal)

whole foods

Like I said, out of boredom is why I got here. But I’m totally digging these $1.99 bath bombs. I chose rose petal but there’s numerous options… Shea Butter, Milk and Honey, Coconut milk…to name a few.  You may possibly need two bath bombs depending on the size of your bath tub because they are small. NOT THE SIZE OF LUSH by any means, they’re TINY….which is a bummer but work great if you get two!

When I first opened it, THE SMELL is what first got me! It’s SO strong. I got the rose petal one and it literally smells like fairytale.. if that makes sense?! But that’s what I thought of, so hey. I filled my tub up all the way, got in it and then put the bath bomb in. I recommend doing it while you’re already in the tub, the fizzing effect is a la heavennnnn sent.

I realize it is now Tuesday night but TOTALLY forgot to publish lastnight. Oh well!

May BirchBox

Hello lovlies! I’m alive and well! Trust me when I say it hasn’t been my choice by any means to go a little MIA from the blog lately but work and being an adult is taking over my life but TODAY IS THE DAY. Today is the day I finally was able to set some time aside… If you wanna call pantless, sitting on the edge of the bed, unmanicured nails, messy/rooted hair, wine poured and two baskets of dirty laundry right in front of me “setting time aside” but any whoooo here we are and I’m sharing what came in The May BirchBox today!

What’s inside!

Ouai Wave Spray

s1802107-main-Lhero

To start off, a little advice. DEF, DEF, DEF use this product on damp hair. It says you can use it on dry or damp hair but damp is the way to go. I pretty much have nothing but good things to say about this product. Yes, it is on the pricey side but worth it. It smells great and really does a good job at giving my hair that wavy, loose curl look. I’ve read mixed reviews on this product and I can see why. Although I am happy with the product, I don’t think it’s for everyone’s hair type.

ModelCo Illusion Lip Pencil

Too be honest, not much to say about this one. This product didn’t interest me at all. But I did I give it a whirl! And….. yeah still not much to say. I HATE lip liner. Lipstick does not need lip liner. When I think of lip liner, I think back to the 90’s and my mom. JUST STOP with the lipliner ladies!!! I don’t care if Kylie Jenner is doing it, you are not her!! Seriously had to get that off my chest..but does anyone else feel this way about Lip Liner? But I do have one good thing to say!! The color is pretty. It’s a beautiful, neutral, light pinkish shade. Like it. But that’s about it.

Manna Kadar Cosmetics Glo Illuminator

I actually really do like this product. It say’s you can apply it alone for an overall glow or mixed in with your foundation. I was skeptical about mixing it in with my foundation at first but once I did I was like damn that’s good. You actually will notice you don’t need to use as much foundation as you normally would. This product makes up for it. And that glow is AMAZZZ and natural looking. No streaks, non greasy and smells great!

Clarins UV Plus Anti-Pollution Sunscreen Multi-Protection SPF 50

As you guys know, I love facial lotions that contain SPF. I can’t stress it enough. SPF does wonders for the skin. It’s all I will use on my face. So of course when I saw this product in my BirchBox I was excited! And for good reason! Surprise, surprise! I love it! Will def be purchasing the full size bottle. It’s so lightweight, smells dreamy and leaves my skin soft and radiant.

Beauty Protector Protect & Oil

I am very picky when it comes to oil products for my hair. Too much can lead to grease and that’s never attractive. But when applied at just the right amount, I really do like this product and am very pleased with it. Again, another on the pricey side but can totally see why. And when it comes to oil and my hair, I will pay more for a better formula and that’s what this stuff is! It really does a good job at smoothing down my hairs frizz and giving it that fresh from the salon shine. This oil has so many different benefits. Heat protection, UV protection, color fading protectant and smells like a dream.

Lush Haul

Hi Friends! On the blog today I’m talking my latest Lush purchases! Lush is my absolute favorite go to store for all things shower, bath and face masks. Nothing makes your skin feel as good and as soft as Lush products do. The store smells AMAZING, even my package had the scent of the store…aaaahhh..So here’s what I got!! Oh and I apologize for the lack of hands on photos. My phone crashed and I would rather not talk about it so moving on.

Rub Rub Rub Body Scrub

So this was my first experience with this particular scrub. Smells GREAT. Cleansing. Skin smoothing. Ya know, all the good stuff. But here’s the thing, I’ve used it twice so far and that’s about as much use as I got out of it. Once soaked with water and once you begin rubbing it onto your skin (which feels amazing btw) it quickly, QUICKLY disintegrates. That’s the only con I give this scrub other than that, I love it! It feels like a rough sand paper type of feeling when you’re rubbing it in but that’s just the exfoliation doing its job. Makes for such a relaxing shower.

Dark Angels Face & Body Cleanser

OKAY. THIS STUFF. It’s great but man does it make a mess and is annoyingly hard to wash off. To use, you take a chunk out of the container, mix with water to create a black paste like mix. Like I said, IT IS A PROCESS to wash off but don’t get me wrong the after math of using this product is worth it. Your skin is left crazy soft and hydrated.

Sakura Bath Bomb

Bath Bombs, bath bombs, bath bombs. They give my life meaning. I’ve done maybe every bath bomb Lush has to offer but this Sakura bath bomb was a new one for me. This may be the strongest, scented bath bomb I have tried. Once dissolved in the bath tub it spews out a white foam that eventually will dissolve and does not produce any color. More of a merky color is what you are left with but don’t panic its super relaxing. The salt ingredients in this bath bomb are key. You can feel the salt sizzling against your skin. To me, it was an up lifting, energizing experience and leaves your skin calm, smooth and smelling great.

My First BirchBox!

Hi darlings! On the blog today I’m sharing my very first BirchBox and what came inside! I’ve never tried BirchBox. It’s always been one of those things I’ve been meaning to do or sign up for, I just never did! Go figure.. Any who my boyfriends sister took matters into her own hands and gifted me with a subscription to BirchBox for Christmas! So shout out to her because I loved the idea from the day I got it and today I got my very first box in the mail and love it even more! How fun, am I right!? So let’s have a look inside!

BIOLOGE Recover shampoo/conditioner

img_7033

So before I sent away for my first box, I filled out my personal profile on the website and I swear, BirchBox read my mind on this one. I am a regular user of BIOLOGE shampoo/conditioner and when I saw these I was thrilled! I usually use BIOLOGE color protection but am super excited to try this Recover version. It smells great btw !

Supergoop City Sunscreen Serum

img_7036

I’m a huge believer in using Sunscreen as a daily moisturizer and I do so myself. I currently use Neutrogena clear face sunscreen lotion on a daily basis as my daily moisturizer. This one by Supergoop is a new one for me. The smell is incredible! I already love it for that sole reason. It’s light weight, non greasy, and rubs in easily. Will definitely be adding this product to my moisturizer collection once I finish this sampler.

Mally Volumizing Mascara

img_7038-1

Again, another product I’ve never used before or am familiar with but so far so good! I tried and it works pretty well.Volumizes, doesn’t clump and a great application brush. I did my research and found it at Ulta for $20. I’ve seen nothing but great reviews on this mascara.

Burt’s Bees Lip Balm & Travel Mirror

And to complete this BirchBox, came these two little gems! Again, with the whole mind reading thing BirchBox, you got me again! Burt’s Bees Lip Balm..I mean, obviously my favorite lip balm is from Burt’s Bees.

Have a happy Friday!
